A New Chapter
The Yellow Farmhouse Inn is entering a new chapter…
The inn on the painting completion date, June 5th
As summer arrives in the Mad River Valley, the property is blossoming with new life. Restored porches and frames, a fresh forest green exterior trimmed in soft cream, and months of thoughtful reflection have led us to a new name: Maple Acres Farm & Inn.
While the name is changing, the heart of this place remains the same.
For more than two centuries, this property has welcomed those passing through the valley. What began as a tavern for travelers in 1820 later became a hardworking dairy farm before evolving into the inn guests know and love today. Through every season of change, the roots of this land have remained deeply planted in hospitality, stewardship, and a genuine love for the Mad River Valley.
The name Maple Acres reflects that legacy. It honors the maple trees that define Vermont's landscape, the working farm traditions that shaped this property, and the sense of place that has always made this acreage special.
As we look ahead, our commitment remains unchanged: to offer warm hospitality, care for the animals and land entrusted to us, and create a place where guests can slow down, reconnect, and experience the beauty of Vermont.
We invite you to follow along as we continue building upon this rich tradition and discover what the next chapter of Maple Acres Farm & Inn will bring.
