Spacious and inviting, Stephanie overlooks the Sugarbush mountains, perennial garden and horse pasture from its 2nd-floor windows. Stephnanie features a Rice-carved Cherry poster bed with 18th Century English styling, and a jewel-toned jacquard and velvet patchwork comforter in deep purples, gold and sage.
We toured New England for an October Foliage vacation and we realized that we should have stayed the entire 2 weeks at the Yellow Farmhouse Inn and saved ourselves the time of packing and unpacking going to new destinations. The Inn itself is gorgeous and you really don't need to leave the property to enjoy the spectacular mountain foliage views. We did take day trips from Waitsfield, Vermont on 3 different occasions and everything we saw in 2 other states was within an hour drive in each direction from early colors to full peak. My suggestion to anyone planning a foliage driving tour is to stay in the Mad River Valley, we obviously recommend the Yellow Farmhouse Inn, and enjoy the laid back atmosphere, the wonderful colors and the hospitality on Mike & Sandra !!
