The Property

The Yellow Farmhouse Inn is situated on 10 acres of rolling hills and pastures overlooking yet not hearing, Route 100 in the beautiful Mad River Valley. Surrounded by the Northfield Ridge and the Sugarbush Mountains, every season is a wonder. In spring witness the landscape coming alive with the variations of red and green buds on all the trees that surround you. Summer welcomes the blooming of all of our perennial gardens on property. In the Fall experience the magnificent foliage that encompasses you without ever having to leave the hillside chair, rocker, or porch swing. Finally the winter landcape, enjoy a walk or snoeshoe on our Country Road and you'll feel like your a living postcard.

Whether you're waking up with your morning coffee on the front porch watching the sunrise over the ridge, partaking in a seasonal beverage in a secluded spot atop our hill, or enjoying a book and each others company on one of the 3 porches or hillside chairs, sun worshipper or shade lover, doesn't matter, there's something and somewhere for everyone's tastes!

The Inn

As we want you to enjoy our Inn as if it were your own home, we offer a communal guest refridge as well as wine glasses, champagne flutes, openers, and mugs for your use and we welcome you to bring and enjoy any adult beverages on property that you like !

We live across the driveway in a different building so you can enjoy your time and space without feeling like you're intruding. We do encourage guests to bring slippers or house shoes as we try to maintain a clean and comfortable atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the Inn as well as on our 3 porches.
